Here are three great household uses for baking soda outside of in cooking recipes!
1. Skin exfoliator- you can mix a small amount of water and baking soda to exfoliate skin gently. I prefer to use it once a month or every other month as a scalp cleanser- and trust me you will feel the difference!
2. Kitchen cleaner- for those of you who have an electric countertop this is perfect because a small amount of baking soda and water will take away grease, grime, and any other sticky mess I leave behind. Because it has no odor, is a great chemical free and safe cleaner it's great for other surfaces: cabinets, microwave, dishwasher cleanser, and your fridge.
3. Pet odor/fragrance- in the event your pet in training has accidents on your carpet. Mix small amount, hydrogen peroxide and water, pour over affected area and let sit for 1-2 minutes and clean up with paper towels. (Careful, not too much baking soda or the carpet will dry up and the top of the carpet will look white, can be cleaned out afterwards).
What do you use to keep your home or office clean that is not a harsh chemical?! I'd love your advice! I want to have a clean home and be safe when cleaning and having little kiddos (down the road) from unsafe cleaners.
